Dual Views - A Side Project Week 25
This week landscapes feature as a subject for both Lisa and I, although I promise you that wasn’t planned. Usually I take a photo, text Lisa to let her know so she has it in mind to photograph sunset on the same day when it rolls around for her. Rarely do I share the photograph, or even what the subject is, because I prefer for there to be no influence on what subject Lisa is drawn to photograph.
Lisa has gone large scale, sharing the view from a road, with green plants in the fore and mid ground offsetting the majestic mountains in the background. The hint of clouds intersecting the mountains gives me a sense of how epic this scene really is.
For my landscape I’ve gone closer, as I so often do, drawing the eye to focus on the lines of a dead tree, which I know I’ve photographed before for I just can’t get enough of. Architecture is probably a weird word to use when talking about trees, but it’s what comes to mind when I look at them.
With this post we have actually hit the halfway mark. I have thoughts I’d like to share, but they will wait for the next post. For now, just know how proud I am of Lisa and I for making this far into the project.
